Paid Internship Program

Your compensation ranges from $18 to $20 per hour, depending on your level of experience. As a Fundraising and Development Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising and development activities. You will work closely with the fundraising team to support various initiatives aimed at securing funding and cultivating relationships with donors and partners.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a program in nonprofit management, event fundraising, or a related field.
Able to work at a minimum of 10 hours per week. Some evening or weekend hours may be required for events or special projects.
The length of participation ranges from 3 to 10 months. The duration depends on the number of hours you can work per week.
Previous experience or coursework in fundraising, development, or nonprofit management is preferred but not required.
Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent research skills, with the ability to gather and analyze information from various sources.
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential donor information.
Flexibility and willingness to learn and take on new challenges as part of a dynamic nonprofit team.

Responsibility

Assist in researching potential donors, grant opportunities, and funding prospects.
Support the development and implementation of fundraising campaigns and strategies.
Aid in drafting grant proposals, sponsorship letters, and other fundraising materials.
Assist with donor stewardship activities, including thank-you letters, donor recognition, and communications.
Help organize fundraising events, including logistics, outreach, and follow-up.
Conduct prospect research to identify new funding opportunities and partnership prospects.
Collaborate with the communications team to ensure fundraising messaging is aligned with organizational branding and mission.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor and prospect databases.
Provide administrative support to the fundraising team, including data entry, filing, and correspondence.
Assist with other fundraising and development tasks and projects, as needed.
